Sugaring
Made with only sugar, water and lemon, Sugaring, is an all natural method of body hair removal. There’s no need for sticks and strips to be used because with traditional sugaring (ball method), you apply the sugar in the opposite direction the hair grows, and flick off same direction of hair growth. This extracts the hair from the bulb leading to finer, slower re-growth, and leads to diminished hair growth. Unlike waxing, when extracting from the hair’s opposite direction, it creates a breakage at the surface, leading to ingrown hairs. Your skin immediately feels normal after sugaring, is there’s no sensitivity to touch like waxing. Sugaring tends to hurt less than waxing because it pulls less on the skin while still effectively removing the hair. This also means that you will have a lot less irritation and redness. You may notice not very many places offer sugaring because it takes years of experience to acquire the method. The benefits of sugaring outweighs traditional waxing.

IS SUITABLE FOR MEN & WOMEN.
When coming in for your service, make sure the area is clean. Do not apply any lotion or oil products. When the area is clean, more hair can be extracted because the sugar is able to grab the hair from the root.
Make sure your hair is at least 1/4 inch long- above the size of a grain of rice. If it isn't, you won't be able to get sugared and you will have to RESCHEDULE and PAY the cancellation fee - Half the cost of the service.
A few days before your appointment, lightly exfoliate with a buffing mitt or washcloth to get some dead skin cells out of the way. This will help prevent stray hairs from getting left behind. Avoid tanning or applying retinoid creams to the areas getting sugared for at least 24-48 before your appointment.

SUGARING:
PRE-CARE
What to do & What Not to do:
-
Avoid tight clothing for 24 hours, let your skin breathe. Irritating your skin can cause ingrown hair. Try to not touch the area, it’s tempting to touch the smooth hair-free area, however, the germs on your hands can cause irritation, pimples or infections.
-
No steam room or soaking in water for at least two days, more if your skin is very sensitive. When your hair is removed from the root, the empty hair follicle is more prone to bacteria entering.
-
Exfoliate a few days after your service when your skin is no longer red or sensitive with a sugar body scrub, washcloth or loofah. Scrubbing away the dead skin cells will help prevent clogged pores which can lead to ingrown hairs. Exfoliating on a regular basis will also keep your skin looking healthy and encourage the hair to point up and grow in the right direction.
